Geographon Alfabet

An alternative phonetic alphabet for Portuguese, designed as a more direct and readable system than the IPA. I built it from a modular grid and tested how clearly people could recognise the sounds. It started as a graphic design exercise, but I liked that it sat somewhere between language, logic and visual form.
Casa no Castanheiro

A maquette of João Mendes Ribeiro’s Casa no Castanheiro. The project was mostly about understanding the building by physically rebuilding it: scale, proportion, materials and all the small decisions that become easier to see when the architecture is in your hands.
