Form studies in 3D printed models established scale, grip, and interface placement before committing to technical drawings. The circular diffuser and ventilation geometry were resolved at this stage.
ARCH-MODU is a housing for a 3.5" external hard drive, developed around the manufacturing logic of Teenage Engineering. The brief demanded structural integrity, thermal management, and a legible physical interface, resolved through extruded aluminium, a translucent diffuser panel, and a modular stacking system.

ARCH-MODU is a compact enclosure for a 3.5" hard drive, designed around manufacturing constraints rather than imposed form.
The extruded aluminium chassis provides structural rigidity and thermal dissipation. A translucent polycarbonate diffuser communicates operational status without additional graphics. Front and rear panels are stamped aluminium, fixed at four corners for maintenance access. The object functions in vertical or horizontal orientation and stacks with identical units.
